Bobby Charlton C.B.E., is one of England's most respected and admired footballers, having spent nearly all of his footballing career with Manchester United and winning League Championships, F.A. Cup, European Cup and World Cup Winners Medals.
In 1966 he was European Footballer of the yearand the holder of 106 England Caps and veteran of 4 World Cup Squads. His services to football were recognised by the presentation of the O.B.E. by Her Majesty the Queen in 1969. In 1974 he was made a Commander of the British Empire. He also holds the record for the number of goals scored in English Internationals.
